In boats that are more than 10 years old, it can be common to find detached accessories such as bitts, handles, garlands, fenders … It must be taken into account that the aging of the glues (although it is subject to many factors) usually begins in these ages …

It is also known that aging is sometimes accelerated due to the use of poor quality glues or an incorrect application.

The aging of the tails sometimes affects such important elements as the floor of the boat, the transom, or in the case of semi-rigid to the union of the float to the rigid hull. In these cases, a comprehensive intervention is usually necessary.

Installation of accessories either because the original ones are deteriorated or because the client wishes to include or make any modification in the configuration of the boat

The guidance system developed by the prestigious boat manufacturer ZODIAC, over time can cause adhesion problems due to aging of the glues.

The most appropriate intervention in these cases is to remove the guide in its entirety, clean the surfaces well and install it again, reinforcing the guide perimeter for greater reliability.

The original valves, over time, can lose efficiency causing sensible losses of air in the float. In these cases it is usually necessary to replace the valves with new ones.

More complex or more specific interventions aimed at customizing a part of the float according to the needs and wishes of each client.

When the fabrics are very deteriorated or extra protection is required in a certain area, covering that area can be a good option,

When such an important part of the float as the cone repeatedly begins to give problems, a solution may be to build a small tubular totally custom-made that allows installation inside the float (sheathed). In this way, the watertightness in this area can be guaranteed thanks to a completely independent new element without having to replace the float in its entirety.

Although it is something unusual, there are floats that have a part (the toe in the bow, or the cones in the stern) made of a totally solid material. In these cases it is necessary to connect the solid part with the inflatable part so that there are no air leaks. A meticulous and highly accurate installation is required for them.

There is a wide variety of non-slip materials that allow you to configure your boat’s float in an effective and elegant way, giving it extra protection in those areas most exposed to friction.

In the integral restorations, all those works that the client requests are carried out in order to renew the image of the boat. All kinds of work on the float but also fiber and paint work, upholstery, mechanics among others.

TUBE REPLACEMENT AND INSTALLATION

Change of tubes - Replacing the tubes of a semi-rigid with totally new ones.
In PVC or Hypalon neoprene, we can choose the color and the configuration of accessories totally to our liking.

The installation of the tube in the rigid hull is an especially important intervention that must be carried out by trained personnel. Good surface preparation and the use of the best glues and fabrics is essential for the installation of the hinge and exterior lap.

For the installation of old tubes we follow exactly the same procedure as for the installation of new tubes, using all the new fabrics and thus guaranteeing maximum efficiency of the glues.

Some hulls are closed on the deck with a strip about 10cm wide. In this way, the entry of water or other elements between the tube and the rigid hull is minimized, also achieving a higher quality aesthetic finish.

This intervention requires great skill to guarantee a good finish and an optimal result.
